Meet Kent Hutchison
This outgoing, fifth-generation Texan takes pride in his family, his state, and his training and consulting firm the C.J. Baxter Group. In the late 1830s and prior to the Texas Revolution, Hutchison's family rooted themselves in rich East Texas soil. This historical settlement declared Kent a "son of the republic" more than a century before he was around to accept the title. "It's a Texas thing," he says. However, while Hutchison's ancestry unknowingly established a deep-cultured history for his future by calling Texas home, Kent has been staying busy these days leaving his historical mark of achievement in the training and consulting world.
To say that CEO-Kent Hutchison is busy is an understatement. Placing high importance on community involvement, Hutchison has served in countless areas of his community including: Chamber of Commerce, governmental affairs committees, legislative director and press secretary in the Texas House of Representatives, Rotary, regional politics, and even volunteer firefighter. "It's all about serving one's community," he explains. Needless to say, when Kent is not facilitating and training for his C.J. Baxter Group (named in tribute to his grandfather), you can be sure to find him making a difference and creating value somewhere.
A former university administrator, Kent has worked with companies and organizations for more than 12 years as a trainer, facilitator and keynote speaker. He is also a certified ropes challenge course instructor. Kent has been a cluster facilitator at the nationally recognized LeaderShape Institute, and has led workshops for programs throughout the U.S. One can expect full animation and lots of audience interaction during a Hutchison facilitated seminar.
